This diagram shows the share of top sites among all the sites for various data center providers.

We calculate a top-site score from the usage of a technology by top sites compared to its usage by average sites. The score is derived from measurements at several traffic levels, but roughly speaking, score 2 means that usage of the technology is twice as common among the top 1,000 sites than among all sites. Score -3 means that usage by all sites is three times as common as by the top 1,000 sites. Only technologies used by 10 sites or more are included in this report. See technologies overview for further explanations on the methodologies used in the surveys.

How to read the diagram:
Usage of Cisco among top 1,000 sites is 68.2 times as common than among all sites.

Technology Brief
Data Center Providers
A data center provider supplies hardware and networking infrastructure to serve websites on the internet. We distinguish the data center provider from the web hosting provider, who is the direct partner of the website owners, and may or may not be the same as the data center provider.
We group brands, that are owned by the same entity, to show the real relevant market shares.

Data center information is partly based on data provided by ipinfo.io.
